Looking for a delicious place to grab something to eat in the heart of Dublin?

Last week I was kindly invited into Lughnasa 52 for a complimentary lunch. Anyone that knows me, knows how much I LOVE food!!! So you can imagine how delighted and excited I was when they contacted me. 

The new pop up restaurant is located upstairs in South William Bar, 52 South william St, Dublin 2. When we walked in, we were cheerfully greeted with a smile. Immediately I got such a good vibe in the place. 

We were seated upstair, with a view of the street. The place was really cosy which is exactly what we wanted after trecking around in the bitter cold on Black Friday. 

There was an excellent choice of food on the menu which is served from 12pm-4pm.

I chose the delicious steak sandwich which was served with crispy onion rings and tasty sweet potato fries. My friend Ellen got the Flat bread which was also super yummy. 

It was exactly what we wanted as we had been out the night before!! There was lots of other (healthier) options on the menu too. Both our meals were priced at €9.95 which is an absolute bargain for the quality & quantity of food that we got. Especially in the heart of Dublin!! 

I would highly recommend checking this place out. Thanks again to Sean & Denis from Lughnasa, I will definatly be back again soon.

Vivienne O'Connor "Collection Two"

As many of you might have seen on my snapchat last Friday evening, I attended the launch of Vivienne O Connor 'Collection Two' Spring/Summer'18 preview.

What a night. I had the pleasure of doing the makeup for these four beauties from assets model agency.

Vivienne is a new Irish fashion designer who launched her first collection, ''Collection One" in July 2017. Her passion and incredible personality shines through her beautiful bespoke pieces. From dresses to two piece suits she has something stunning for your special occasion.

Cara VIP Customer Loyalty Event

Exciting and very busy week ahead. To kick off the weekend, I will be doing Make overs at the Cara Pharmacy VIP customer loyalty evening in Cara Drumshanbo from 5-8pm. I am really looking forward to this. Cara is my favourite pharmacy and they stock fantastic brands at such reasonable prices. The staff are always so helpful, friendly and caring which makes your experience in Cara even better.

If it's not in the store, you can be assured they will check it out to see if it's another store close by, which they will get delivered to your store or you can shop online at carapharmacy.com ...

 Excellent customer service. Cara also have amazing offers from time to time, both online and instore such as 20% off everything so keep an eye out!

Get it Done!!

With less than 4 weeks to Christmas and without a doubt the biggest party season of the year we all want to look and feel our very best.

No matter how much skincare, beauty & makeup products we use, there is nothing like feeling great in yourself without all of that.

It's a busy time of year for most people, rushing around getting the Christmas shopping, all the Christmas events & parties. Once the 1st of December hits, most people go into Christmas mode. Yes of course we are all going to have treats around Christmas but it's important that we still eat balanced meals even if we are having a treat. A lot of people skip meals when they have binged and this is something we need to learn not to do.

Knowing that we will probably over indulge over silly season, Take 20-30 minutes out of your day and do a quick "Hiit" session a couple of times per week. You don't need gym membership or fancy equipment to do this. You just need you.

I don't have time ...

I know I have made excuses and yes we all have but when I've said "I don't have time" I could still find myself scrolling through social media for that 20-30 minutes throughout the day. So really if we want to do it we will find the time.

There are loads of fantastic workout videos but here's 2 people that I really enjoy following because their workout videos are quick & easy to follow and you just Get it done!!!

What Make-up Brushes Do You Use ?

One of the most asked questions I get is 'What Makeup brushes do you use'??

Nowadays there are so many fantastic brands that do Makeup brushes and the majority are very good quality. My personal favourite brushes to use are 'Crown Brushes' www.crownbrush.ie  

The longevity and quality of the hairs are fantastic. As a makeup artist, investing in high quality tools is important but it doesn't have to break the bank. I think the crown brushes are well priced and affordable for those looking for long lasting brushes.

Real techniques would be next on my list. I recently purchased 2 sets, one for the face and the other for the eyes. They had a fantastic special offer as they were half price. These brushes also came with a little case for them which is super handy if you like to keep them separated.

I spotted this ever so glam set of brushes also in Boots just 3weeks ago... How FAB are these???!!! 

If you know me, you know I love Rose Gold!! This would be a beautiful stocking filler for any makeup lover this Christmas! A girl can never have too many brushes !!!

MAC brushes also have a brilliant life span but they defiantly are more expensive. They often launch smaller brush sets over the Christmas period and these are usually a little less expensive. Here is the 'nutcracker sweet contour brush set'

TOP TIP:

Wash your brushes once a week. 

-Often people go months on end without washing their makeup brushes. Not only will the product build up and effect how your makeup turns out but they will also have gathered germs. 

-You can wash them in warm soapy water with some baby shampoo. Towel dry and leave on the window ledge to dry naturally. 

-Try not let the water drip into the handle of the brush as this can loosen the glue and cause hairs to fall out.

There are lots of brush cleaners available from many stores. This one is available from Penneys for just €2.50!

 I find giving them a good wash with shampoo gets a very thorough clean and between washes I use a brush cleaner.

For my kit, I clean my brushes with surgical spirits and brush cleaner between clients. At the end of the day I shampoo them.

Revitalize Your Skin

Here's to a new month, new beginnings and new goals!!

Tonight I have done a quick snapchat tutorial on this face mask.

I feel that looking after your skin is very important and as life is super busy for most people we usually don't give it the attention it really deserves. After all, we only have one skin!!

So every few weeks I try to squeeze in a face mask at some stage. Ideally once a week but that rarely ever happens. My all time favourite is this face mask. It's a mask powder with Aloe Activator mixed.

For more aged skin it helps diminish the appearance of fine lines, plumps skins, tighten pores.
